Beneficiaries of the PSOJ COVID-19 Response Fund Continue to Express their Gratitude
Recipients of packages from the PSOJ COVID-19 Response Fund have been immensely grateful for the contributions each and every one of our donors, stakeholders and volunteers have made.
We would like to continue to thank all 1,031 donors, both locally and internationally who have played their part to #StandForJamaica. Without them, we would not have been able to raise $191 million JMD. These donations have allowed for us to provide 61,000 beneficiaries with necessary food and sanitary products.
Alongside our donors, we would like to thank Jamaica Constabulary Force who delivers packages directly into the hands of beneficiaries, our stakeholders, Council of Voluntary Social Services (CVSS), United Way of Jamaica (UWJ), American Friends of Jamaica (AFJ) and our 1,189 volunteers who have contributed 26,000 volunteer hours. It has been through teaming up and working together that we have been able to fight the battle that COVID-19 has placed upon our fellow Jamaican citizens.
In addition to 60,000 packages delivered to 47 communities, over 32 NGOs have also been supported through the fund. They have been able to complete 560 health checks and have had 24,000 masks distributed. We have also partnered with the Breds Foundation to provide skin sanitizers which are crucial to minimizing community spread.
We appreciate all of the effort and support. We will continue the work. The battle is not over!
Please spread the word and share the campaign to all those who might be interested in supporting!
